Air Freight - fast delivery of goods

Sea Freight - the most inexpensive way of transport
Seafreight does not save time, but due to its low price it is an indispensable way to transport goods to far-off countries like the USA, Japan and Iceland. Throughout the world, mainly 20- and 40-foot containers are used, which are not very good to transport goods on pallets, for thus there will be a lot of unused space. In certain routes (Ireland, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania and Kaliningrad) Itella Logistics uses 40-foot so-called high pallet-wide - (40´ pallet wide, high cube) and 45-foot so-called pallet-wide sea containers (45´ pallet wide), which are ideal for placing pallets of goods. An ordinary 40-foot sea container holds 23 – 25 EUR pallets. 40´ PW holds 30 EUR pallets. 45´ PW HC holds 33 EUR pallets, which is exactly as much as the trailer used in European transport.
